Moth Night at Sassafras Hills Farm

To Be Rescheduled

Join local moth-er Ann-Marie Woods of njpineways, outdoors for an evening of screens and powerful lamps set up to attract living moths right here at Sassafras Hill Farm on Thursday July 18th. Let’s see what the night will bring! Enjoy some of the beautiful and interesting species found in the New Jersey Pinelands. With over 1500 species currently found in NJ, you will have a good chance of seeing moths of many different sizes, shapes, and colors.
Moths are often the good guys! They’re important bio-indicators of the overall health of their environment and have important ecological roles as pollinators, recycling nutrients, and providing food for birds and other wildlife.
We are a Certified Naturally Grown Farm which means that we are herbicide and pesticide free. Bring a lawn chair, a flashlight, and your camera to capture nature's unique beauty.
It’s mothing in good company.

Admission is free. Donations welcome but not required.
